Maker–Checker is a workflow and control mechanism used to ensure that important HR transactions are verified before they are finalized in the system. In this process, the ā€œMakerā€ is the person who creates or initiates a request Employee personal Profile details updates. The ā€œCheckerā€ is an authorized person, usually a manager or senior HR/official, who reviews the request and either approves, rejects, or sends it back for correction. The transaction becomes effective only after approval from the Checker. This approach helps organizations reduce errors, prevent unauthorized changes or fraud, maintain compliance with company policies and audit requirements, and ensure accountability because every action is logged with user details and timestamps.

Configuration Page.

  • The Maker Checker Settings configuration is used to manage CC email notifications for the Maker–Checker approval workflow.
  • Users can select a company, enable the ā€œIs Send CC Email on Maker Checkerā€ option, and enter one or multiple CC email addresses using comma separation.
  • The Save button stores the configuration changes, while the Clear button resets the entered values.
  • This setup helps maintain transparency and keeps stakeholders informed about approval-related activities and transactions.

Data goes to the Maker-Checker approval page only when the Maker-Checker setting is enabled in the HRIS Information Settings for particular fields.

Employee Profile.

Suppose Maker-Checker is applied to any of the fields mentioned in the Employee Profile. When those fields are updated, the data is sent to the Maker-Checker tab for approval.

This is the Maker-Checker approval page, where the Admin/HR can approve or reject Maker-Checker applications. After approval, the data gets updated in the Employee Profile.

Steps to Apply Maker Checker field to any field.

Path to Apply Maker Checker – Click on Nine dots –> Click on System Configuration –> Click on HRIS Information Setting –> Click on Edit Button –> Apply Maker Checker –>Click on Save Button.

Select Information Type and Click n Edit button.

Enable Apply Maker Checker Options for Particular Field Name.

Click on Save Button and Maker Checker will be Applicable for the particular field.

Now Maker Checker is Applicable, Change or Update any infor in the Employee profile where Maker Checker is Applicable.

Click on Organization Tab.

Select any Employee where data needs to be changed.

Updated Middle name and pop up Shows that ā€œThis record is sent to Maker Checker for Approval.ā€

Data Visible at Maker Checker Approval Page for Approval the HR/Admin.

Path to Maker Checker Approval – Click on HR Corner –> Click on maker Checker –> Click on Approvals

Approve this Record.

Record approved and visible in History Tab.

Check Updates on Employee Profile.
