How to Request a Shift Change?

If an employee wishes to request a shift change, they can do so through the Shift Request Application page. As shown below, the employee can select the required shift, choose the applicable date range, and submit the request accordingly. This helps the organization manage employee shift schedules efficiently while maintaining accurate attendance records.

From where can an employee apply?
From the Pending Applications section, locate the Shift Request module and click on it. After selecting the module, click on the Apply button to open the application page.
This page allows the employee to select the required shift from the dropdown list and specify the applicable From Date and To Date for the shift request. Employees can also enter the reason for the shift change request before submitting the application.
This step-by-step process helps employees easily access, review, and submit their Shift Request applications in the HRMS system.
The Shift Details section provides employees with complete information related to the selected shift and helps them verify the shift timing before applying.

In this section, the employee can specify or view –
          – Employee Name
          – Shift Name
          – From Date
          – To Date
          – Reason
          – Special Request (if applicable)

Navigation
Login -> Me -> Attendance ->Pending Applications -> Shift Request-> Apply

Once all required details are entered, the employee can click on the Submit button to successfully apply for the Shift Request.

Note – For past date Shift Request applications, attendance needs to be reprocessed for changes and impact in the attendance calendar, whereas for future date applications no reprocess is required.

Note – If the Special Request checkbox is selected, the system will allow the employee to raise a Shift Request even if the maximum number of Shift Request applications allowed in a month has already been exceeded.

To View, Edit, or Delete an existing application, navigate to the Actions column and click on the Actions Menu icon. This menu provides various options to manage your submitted applications.

If the application status is Pending, you will see the Remove & Edit option available in the menu. This allows you to delete or edit the application before it is reviewed or approved by the concerned authority.

However, once the application has progressed to the Reporting 1 Approved or Reporting 2 Approved status, the Remove & Edit option will no longer be visible. At this stage, the application is already under review or approved, and hence, it cannot be deleted or modified.
This feature ensures that users can manage their applications efficiently while maintaining data accuracy and approval integrity within the system.
